Fidelis Care is pleased to announce that a new Provider Bulletin is now available. The bulletin features updates on important initiatives and the latest news of interest to our provider community.

Disparities in health care among African Americans include health care coverage, employment in the sector, and health conditions. African Americans are more likely to suffer from chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, or asthma and have a shorter life expectancy than their white counterparts. My organization has been a proud partner with Fidelis Care in addressing these and other disparities in the health care industry.

Fidelis Care would like to inform providers of an upcoming change to the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) rate code 4009 for Crisis Outreach Service Visits.

February marks Black History Month. As an African American male, I study and engage in Black history every month, but February allows me a time to focus on ways to improve my community and myself. Embracing the essence of Black history is not merely a fleeting observance but an integral aspect that permeates my life, both personally and professionally.

The Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP), established by the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1990 (OBRA '90), requires that drug manufacturers to enter into an agreement with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide rebates for drugs covered by Medicaid.
