Each year, Fidelis Care reviews our Medicare Advantage products and benefits, with a goal of offering the most competitive plans possible for members.
Balancing rising health care costs, providing key benefits important to members, and continuing to serve low-income seniors are the priorities around which our Medicare Advantage plans and benefits are determined for the coming year.
For 2019, Fidelis Care will continue to offer Medicare Dual Advantage plans in the four regions (New York City, Albany, Buffalo, and Syracuse) where we are currently operational. These plans are for those who are eligible for Medicare and Medicaid (dual-eligible beneficiaries).
Fidelis Medicare Advantage plans for non-dual eligible (general enrollment plans) will be offered only in the Buffalo and Syracuse regions. We expect that many current Medicare Advantage members in the Albany and New York City regions will qualify for a Medicare Dual Advantage plan for 2019. Our representatives are working closely with members to answer questions and help them remain with Fidelis Care if they are eligible.
Serving Medicare Advantage members, particularly the poor and medically underserved, is an important part of the Fidelis Care mission. Working in partnership with our providers, we will continue to focus on providing the highest quality care at an affordable price.
