Fidelis Care, en asociación con el New York City Football Club, está lanzando su nuevo menú "Lunchology", que presenta ideas de recetas saludables, divertidas y creativas para ayudar a alimentar a las familias ocupadas sobre la marcha, especialmente cuando comienza un nuevo año escolar.
En reconocimiento al Día Nacional del Chequeo de la Mujer el lunes 10 de mayo, Fidelis Care alienta a las mujeres de todas las edades a que hagan de su salud una prioridad y programen una cita para su chequeo anual con su proveedor de atención primaria.
Lo que los niños ven temprano en la vida puede marcar la pauta para el futuro. Pregúnteles a sus hijos qué tipo de comentarios ven o envían en línea. Explíqueles que las palabras y acciones maliciosas hieren los sentimientos de las personas, ya sea en línea o en persona.

Eating right can help children grow healthy and strong. This school year, make your child’s school lunch healthier with these 5 easy swaps:
1. Water instead of juice
Water keeps your child hydrated without adding any sugar. Fruit juices may seem like a healthy choice, but they can have as much sugar as soda.
Extra tip: To save money and help the environment, choose a reusable water bottle.
2. Whole-wheat instead of white bread
Whole-wheat bread has more fiber than white bread. Fiber helps digestion, and it can make your child feel fuller while eating fewer calories.

Prep time: 6 minutes
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups oats
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
1/3 cup nut butter or nut butter alternative
1/3 cup honey
Directions:
Mix oats, walnuts, and mini chocolate chips in a bowl, set aside.
In another bowl, mix nut butter and honey. Pour mixture over the oats to combine. Form into one-inch balls and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes before serving.

Prep Time: 4 Minutes
Ingredients:
6 tbsps chia seeds
3/4 c almond milk
1 tsp honey or maple syrup
Berries
Directions:
Pour chia seeds and almond milk in a bowl. Stir and place in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours. Once the mixture has thickened, mix in maple syrup or honey. Top with berries.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
Apples of your choice
Ground cinammon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 225 degrees F.
Slice apples 1/8 inch thk. Place apple slices in a single layer on parchment paper, and sprinkle ground cinammon on top.
Slice apples 1/8 inch thick. Place slices in a single layer and bake for 1 hour. Flip, and bake for one more hour.
