Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body, causing many diseases and affecting the health of smokers in general. More than 16 million Americans are living with a disease caused by smoking. Quitting smoking has immediate as well as long-term benefits for smokers. In collaboration with the NY State of Department of Health (SDOH), Fidelis Care encourages providers to share this information with patients to help them quit smoking and stay smoke free. Fidelis Care covers many smoking cessation products and medications to help members quit smoking.
