Fidelis Care Sponsorships

As part of Fidelis Care’s mission to transform the health of local communities and ensure everyone in New York State has access to quality, affordable health coverage, we work with several key partners throughout the year – from statewide organizations like the NYS PTA, to museums, local sports teams, and the reigning champion of Major League Soccer to reach children and adults of all ages.

In the Community | Caring for Your Health and Wellness

We know that health and wellness begin at home, right where we live and work.

By joining with these committed organizations, we are impacting lives together - feeding those who are hungry, bringing fun and joy to families, and helping to ensure that our friends and neighbors have the care and services they need to lead healthier, happier lives.

New York Boulders

Backpack Heroes

The New York Boulders is an independent professional baseball team in the Frontier League. Based in Rockland County’s Clover Stadium, the team offers affordable family fun in the lower Hudson Valley.

Fidelis Care staff frequently attend games to meet with fans and provide information on quality, affordable health coverage.

Fidelis Care has partnered with the Boulders in a series of summer food drives benefiting the People to People food pantry.

Backpack Heroes is a special program designed to fight weekend hunger coordinated by Fidelis Care, The Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and WRGB-Channel 6.

Through the program, participating students receive backpacks full of food each Friday to help ensure they do not go hungry over the weekend when they are not in school.

Each year, Backpack Heroes is supported by caring community members, whose donations help to fight weekend hunger. Over the past six years, Fidelis Care has raised over $400,000 for this cause.

Brooklyn Cyclones

The Brooklyn Cyclones are a minor league baseball team and affiliate of the New York Mets. The team plays at Maimonides Park, just off Coney Island. As a friend of the Cyclones, Fidelis Care works with the team to host events that support the health and wellness of the community.

The partnership focuses on helping to alleviate food insecurity and features an on-site stadium presence where Fidelis Care representatives educate fans and answer questions about health insurance.

Adirondack Thunder

The Adirondack Thunder is a proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets. The team plays in the Premier "AA" Hockey League, with home games played at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls (Warren County).

The Thunder and Fidelis Care team up to host an annual coat drive and a Health Care Appreciation Night each year. Team mascot Gunnar is a good friend of Fidelisaurus, and a crowd favorite at local events.

Buffalo Police Athletic League

The Police Athletic League of Buffalo, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization that supports the City of Buffalo's youth.

This includes recreational, educational, cultural, environmental, and preventive program activities in structured, supervised, and organized settings.

The PAL uses professional recreation and law enforcement personnel in an effort to provide leadership, direction, and an opportunity for those youth to become responsible, successful adults.

New York State Parent Teacher Association

The New York State PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child. Its membership statewide is comprised of hundreds of thousands of parents, teachers, administrators, students and other child advocates in more than 1,450 local units and councils.

The New York State PTA and Fidelis Care have joined together in developing a unique Every Child Healthy program, an initiative designed to provide health and wellness resources to children and families.

New York Edge

New York Edge is the largest provider of after-school programs in NYC. Its local programs focus on academics, the arts, sports, health and wellness.

New York Edge has proudly served over 40,000 students from kindergarten through high school in more than 130 schools in all five boroughs of New York City.

In partnering with New York Edge, Fidelis Care encourages kids to read, creates virtual event series for parents, and shares health and wellness messages through articles, podcasts, and special events.

New York State Fair

A 13-day showcase of agriculture, entertainment, education, and technology, the Great New York State Fair is held annually at the end of August and the start of September.

Fidelis Care is on site throughout the Fair, and is proud to sponsor the Adopt a Family program, which provides local, low-income families with free admission as well as food and entertainment vouchers.

The Youth Day Sponsorship on September 2 features a special giveaway at the Fidelis Care booth, and DentaQuest will be on site for dental screenings. Dates for the Fair in 2022 are August 24-September 5.

New York City Football Club

An American professional soccer club, the New York City Football Club is the reigning Major League Soccer champion, with home games played at both Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and Citi Field in Queens, along with a substantial fanbase.

Fidelis Care is proud to sponsor “Free Football for All,” a free youth soccer program created by the New York City Football Club and the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association.

The program reaches up to 4,000 children with the opportunity to play soccer and learn teamwork and leadership skills in safe, outdoor settings – all at no cost for families.

NYC Police Athletic League

New York City’s Police Athletic League serves youth, ages 3 to 21, with recreational, educational, cultural, and social programs for over 18,000 participants in over 25 locations across the five boroughs.

The Police Athletic League is New York City’s largest independent youth development not-for-profit organization. As the official 2022 health plan partner supporting PAL New York City programs, Fidelis Care continues to sponsor recreational, educational, cultural, and social activities throughout the year including PAL PLAYSTREETS, PAL Street Games, and PAL Early/Head Start Programs. We join together for food and clothing drives and to share health and wellness information with parents and families.

Strong National Museum of Play

The Strong Museum of Play in Rochester is a highly interactive, collections-based educational institution devoted to the study and exploration of play. It serves diverse audiences, especially families, children, educators, and scholars.

Located on The Strong’s first floor and just beyond The Strong Express Train, the Fidelis Care Gallery houses a variety of exciting short-term exhibits throughout each year.

Since 2016, Fidelis Care has been a Visionary Sponsor of the museum and supporter of many of its exhibits and family programming. Past activities have included visits from Fidelis Care mascot Fidelisaurus, backpack giveaways to children in the community, and event sponsorship.

Museum of Science & Technology (MOST)

The Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (the MOST) is a 35,000-square-foot space in downtown Syracuse.

It features traveling exhibits, a Science Shop, and other programs and events.

Fidelis Care is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) program at the MOST, providing reduced admission for EBT cardholders.

Fidelis Care is a contributing partner for the popular Dino Zone and our representatives are often on site to share information with museum-goers.

UB Bulls (University at Buffalo)

The UB Bulls are the sports teams of University at Buffalo, including the popular football and basketball teams. Fidelis Care is part of a joint partnership with the Bulls to increase sports involvement and opportunities for under-resourced children in public schools and community centers in the Buffalo area. Fidelis Care also will attend the Bulls' Spring Football Clinic in downtown Buffalo.

In addition to our on-site appearances at games, Fidelis Care also participates in the “Block Out Hunger” initiative, which raises funds for the Buffalo 5/14 Survivors Fund for each block by the UB defense at men’s and women’s basketball games.
