Fidelis Care has received full, three-year Health Plan Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The Accredited status applies to its Medicaid (HMO), Medicare Advantage/Dual Advantage (HMO/POS), and Qualified Health Plans (HMO) through the NY State of Health Marketplace.
NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA Accreditation is the most comprehensive evaluation in the industry. The NCQA Health Plan Accreditation shows members and providers that a health plan is well managed and delivers high quality care and service.
Fidelis Care previously received Interim Accreditation status in July 2016.
"Achieving NCQA Accreditation is a direct result of Fidelis Care's ongoing commitment to quality care and service for members," said CEO Rev. Patrick J. Frawley. "We are pleased to earn this national distinction, and to recognize the work of our more than 4,000 employees who each contributed to this achievement, and continue to put the health, wellness, and satisfaction of our members first, every day.”
The Accreditation standards are set high to continuously enhance a plan’s quality of care, and the review process includes rigorous on-site and off-site evaluations by a team of physicians and health plan experts. For more information, visit ncqa.org.
