Workforce Development Grants for Health and Economic Mobility

Workforce-Development-Grants

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Fidelis Care is awarding Workforce Pathways to Health and Economic Mobility grants to Social Care Networks, healthcare providers, and community-based organizations across New York State to support innovative programs that connect Medicaid members with employment, education, training, apprenticeship, and volunteer opportunities.

If your organization helps individuals overcome barriers to workforce participation through career navigation, job readiness support, education and training connections, or other services that promote economic stability, Fidelis Care encourages you to apply for a grant.

With upcoming Medicaid community engagement requirements approaching, these grants will help trusted local organizations prepare to support members and connect them with resources that promote economic stability and better health outcomes.

Grants up to $40,000 will be awarded. Each applicant must include at least one cross-sector partner.

GRANT PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. November 16, 2026. Applicants must demonstrate how their program will connect members to workforce, education, training, apprenticeship, or volunteer opportunities while providing support to address barriers such as transportation, childcare, technology access, language services, or other challenges that may affect participation. Some reporting will be required by grant recipients.

Organizations selected for funding will be notified in December 2026.

Work, Wellness, and Opportunity

Employment and economic stability are important drivers of health and well-being. The federal Healthy People 2030 initiative identifies employment as a key factor linking access to work and income with better health outcomes. Many Medicaid members face barriers that can make it difficult to access workforce resources, education programs, and training opportunities. Through the Workforce Pathways to Health and Economic Mobility Grant Program, Fidelis Care aims to support community partnerships that help New Yorkers overcome those barriers, connect with opportunities, and build healthier, more stable futures.
