Feel lightheaded

Problems with blood pressure or the inner ear can make you dizzy, causing you to lose your balance.

Can’t see well

Poor vision will make it difficult to avoid obstacles.

Have callouses or corns on your feet

Your PCP may need to remove them. Wearing loose-fitting shoes because of foot problems could make you fall.

Take medications

Some medications can affect your balance, especially if you’re taking more than one. Your PCP may be able to prescribe alternatives that won’t make you dizzy.
