Feeling Blue this Winter?

Winter Blues

It’s normal to feel anxious or depressed during winter. If you feel this way, you are not alone. The “winter blues” often don’t last very long. But in some cases, they can turn into a more serious problem.

Visit your doctor if:

  • You feel guilty, useless, or helpless
  • Your feelings get in the way of school or work
  • You are thinking of death or suicide

Your doctor may recommend:

  • Lifestyle changes
  • Medication
  • Counseling or a combination of the above

If you have a chronic health condition, it’s important to visit your doctor. Getting help for the “winter blues” can help improve your physical health and mental health.
