Fidelis Care Maternal Health Grant Program

Fidelis Care is awarding grants to 501(c)(3) organizations in New York State to help support maternal health and wellness programs.

If your nonprofit runs a program that helps ensure mothers have the care, services, and resources to ensure safe pregnancies and healthy babies, particularly for high-need, low-income women and their families, then Fidelis Care encourages you to apply for the grant. 

Grants of up to $20,000 will be awarded. To be eligible, nonprofits must have 501(c)(3) status in New York State. Applications will be accepted until 5 PM on October 20, 2023. Applicants must answer all of the questions on the form to be considered. Please note: Some reporting is required. Awards will be announced on or before November 30, 2023.

Helping Mothers and Families

According to the March of Dimes 2022 data report, 1 in 9 babies born in New York State were premature, and 1 in 11 babies were of low birthweight. In New York, the preterm birth rate among Black women is 58% higher than the rate among all other women. Fidelis Care’s grants are aimed at providing needed pre- and post-natal services to improve these outcomes statewide.
