Fidelis Care can help you fight opioid misuse. More people are dying of opioid overdoses than ever before in New York State. According to the State Department of Health, more than 3,000 individuals died of an opioid overdose in 2016. Buprenorphine is the first at-home medication therapy proven to be clinically effective against opioid use disorder (OUD). Buprenorphine can be an essential tool for helping you treat your OUD patients. Fidelis Care is sponsoring a FREE training for providers to treat OUD. Having this training will allow you to prescribe buprenorphine. The training will be conducted by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). It will include: • Four hours of online training at your own pace • Livestream training sessions offered from 9:30 AM to 2 PM on three different dates for your convenience: o June 28, 2019 o September 13, 2019 o November 8, 2019
