Fidelis Care is proud to recognize and honor the brave veterans within our organization, in our communities, and across the nation. Some Fidelis Care employees shared their thoughts. Scott Averill, Senior Vice President, Sales and Co-Chair of Fidelis Care’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council, served in The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) from 1972-1976.

Fidelis Care and health care provider Hometown Health Centers recently partnered for an event to educate the public about a major change in the health insurance renewal process. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government provided New York State with additional funding to keep individuals covered under Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, and Managed Long Term Care. With the federal public health emergency now ended, those individuals must take action to keep their health insurance.

October 15-21, 2023, is National Healthcare Quality Week. This annual observance celebrates all professionals who make important contributions to improve healthcare quality every day. Fidelis Care's mission aligns with that of National Healthcare Quality Week: to provide quality, affordable health insurance coverage to all.

National Pharmacy Week is October 15-21, 2023. During this weeklong observance, the important contributions of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are recognized and appreciated. Across healthcare settings like hospitals, pharmacies, and clinics, pharmacists play a vital role in keeping patients safe and healthy.
