Whether someone feels good or needs support, an annual checkup helps keep people healthy, catch issues early, and get care — all at no cost.*

It’s also a chance to talk with your healthcare provider about what’s most important to you. You can ask questions and set goals. Fidelis Care encourages you to take advantage of this benefit.

I’m healthy — do I really need to go?
Yes! Yearly visits help you stay healthy. Even if you feel great, your provider can find small problems early and answer your health questions. Early detection improves your chances of better outcomes.
I don’t have time to go to go to the doctor.
We make it easy. Pick an in-person or virtual visit at a time that works for you. Check with your provider to see if they offer

virtual visits.

What if I can’t pay for it?
Annual checkups are no cost for Fidelis Care members. Depending on your plan, you may have to pay for related screenings or services. Ask your provider if there's any additional costs during your visit.
What if I don’t have a way to get there?

Transportation to visits are available at no cost for Medicaid members. Call us or go to www.medanswering.com to learn more. If you are enrolled in another Fidelis Care product, check your plan benefits to determine if you are eligible for transportation services. Your primary care provider also may be able to perform the annual checkup through a telemedicine visit. Check with your provider to see if they offer telemedicine visits.

I don’t have a primary care provider (PCP) or need to change mine/my child’s.
No problem! You can change your PCP anytime through your secure Member Portal account if your plan requires you to select a PCP.

What should I ask my healthcare provider during my visit?

  • Follow your provider's advice. Listen to your healthcare provider and ask questions if you don't understand. Be sure to keep all follow-up visits and take medications you are prescribed for the best possible health outcomes.
