January is Cervical Health Awareness Month. Prevention and screening are the most important ways to fight cervical cancer. During the pandemic, many people did not get tested for cervical cancer or receive the HPV vaccine (shot) that helps prevent this cancer.

During your checkup, you can also ask your PCP any questions you may have. This will mark the ‘starting point’ of your health journey for the year.

Individuals ages 60 or older and pregnant people do not need a prescription to get a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine at participating pharmacies. RSV infections usually occur during the fall and winter. If you are eligible, you should get vaccinated as soon as possible to stay healthy.
