Here are some tips to help you safely enjoy the water: • Always watch children while they are swimming or near water. Never leave children alone near water. A child or weak swimmer can drown in less than a minute. • Teach children to always ask before they go in the water.

The Asian American Cultural Alliance, Inc. (AACA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural exchange, uplifting immigrant voices, and building bridges through community engagement. I launched AACA alongside two co-founders: Yang Qu, who leads our efforts in mental health awareness, and Yi Li, a dance studio owner who brought creative energy to the organization’s early vision. The federal poverty level determines income eligibility for public health insurance programs in New York State, including Child Health Plus.

The grants are aimed at supporting healthcare providers and community-based organizations that imagine and create innovative solutions to increase preventive care in rural communities across New York State. The application is available at fideliscare.org/rural-grant. The deadline to apply is October 3, 2025.
