Hispanic Heritage Month is a time of reflection, celebration, and unity. For me, it is deeply personal, a reminder of the strength, resilience, and cultural pride that defines our community. What is ovarian cancer? Ovarian cancer is the abnormal growth of cells in the ovary. It can spread throughout the body. It is the deadliest of gynecologic cancers. There are different types of ovarian cancer. The most common type of ovarian cancer is abnormal growth of the cells on the surface of the ovary. It is called epithelial ovarian cancer.

September is National Childhood Obesity Month. it's a time to address obesity rates among children in the U.S. Those rates have doubled since 1980 and have tripled for teens. About 19.7% of children ages 2 to 19 are considered obese.

If you can, do strength training (like lifting light weights or using resistance bands) at least three times a week.
