Each November is Prematurity Awareness Month. A premature birth is a baby born before 37 weeks gestation. In the U.S., about one in 10 births are premature. Babies that are born preterm can face serious health problems, so maternal healthcare is important to reduce risk and help babies be the healthiest they can be because there is no single cause of preterm birth.

If you or someone you love has chest pain, going to the emergency room can feel scary. Knowing what will happen can help you feel safer. When you arrive, the doctors and nurses will work fast to check your heart. 1. Quick Check When You Arrive A nurse will ask how you feel and how bad the pain is. If the pain sounds serious, you will be seen right away. They might put a monitor on you to check your heart rate and oxygen. 2. Heart Test (EKG) You will likely get a heart test within 10 minutes. The test is called an electrocardiogram

History is made of fine details that form a much larger picture. These intricate lines and strokes shape who we are. February commemorates the rich Black history that has allowed me to stand in my achievements today. This month reminds me of my mission: to pour into my community.

Fidelis Care is committed to strengthening our partnership with providers and enhancing the overall experience when addressing claims related concerns. As part of this ongoing effort, we are introducing a new Fidelis Care Claims Inquiry Template, which will be required beginning March 1, 2026 for all claims inquiries submitted after the standard appeals process has been completed.

Fidelis Care would like to remind our provider community of the required protocols for submitting corrected claims and to clarify how these differ from appeals. Following these guidelines helps ensure timely and accurate claims processing.
