The grants will assist eight community-based organizations and one healthcare provider that play a vital role in ensuring safe pregnancies and healthy babies – particularly for underserved, lower-income women and their families across New York.

The grants range from $10,000 to $20,000 each and are aimed at assisting healthcare providers and community-based organizations that support health and wellness in rural communities across New York State. The application is available at fideliscare.org/rural-grant. The deadline to apply is October 4, 2024.

LONG ISLAND CITY, NY (July 31, 2024) Fidelis Care, a statewide health plan with more than 2.4 million members in New York State and a Centene Corporation company, has announced the distribution of more than $195,000 in behavioral health grants to 10 health care providers and community-based organizations across New York State. The grant recipients have demonstrated a strong commitment to addressing mental health needs through innovative programs and services. This funding gives them the opportunity to expand their reach and further their impact, providing essential resources and support to individuals struggling with behavioral health issues.

A Fidelis Care StreetSide RV visited a Rochester shopping plaza in June to share information about NY State of Health’s recent eligibility expansion for The Essential Plan. The Essential Plan now allows more New Yorkers access to high-quality, affordable health insurance. New Yorkers whose income is up to 250 percent of the Federal Poverty Line, which stands at a $37,650 annual income for an individual, may now be eligible for Essential Plan coverage.
